Women as Healers: Voices of Vibrancy

by Tami Briggs, Therapeutic Harpist

Through the ages, women have been healers and conduits of change. Perhaps more so now than ever, women are involved in many beautiful, healing projects.

Tami Briggs invited women from around the world to participate in this inspirational anthology. Her vision was to feature many of the healing women she has met over the years and who have profoundly impacted her life. In her newest release, Women as Healers: Voices of Vibrancy, 31 women share their insightful stories to help the world heal.

Who are the women featured in this new book? They are authors, artists, consultants, nurses, educators, leaders, therapists, creators. Some work for corporations and institutions; many of them are self-employed. The common thread amongst them is they are gifted healers.

Ms. Briggs is reminded of her favorite Mother Teresa quote, “I have found the paradox that if I love until it hurts, then there is no hurt, only more love.” This is evident in the lives of many of the women. Many have suffered great tragedies and losses, yet they continue to demonstrate resiliency and strength. Their own healing helps them to offer the gift of healing to others. They are pioneers and powerful women, deeply spiritual and spirited healers.

From their stories and reflections, they model taking risks, beating the odds, being of great service, making a significant difference in the world, and living their passions. The world is a much better place because they are in it!

The 31 stories each include the woman’s bio and contact information. Chapters range from “A Journey from Pain to Passion” to “Love Within Life” to “Daughter of Royalty” to “A Spiritual Awakening.”

A CD of Tami Briggs’ solo harp compositions is included so the reader can relax as they read the book.

Based in Minneapolis, MN, Tami Briggs brings extensive professional knowledge and experience to helping heal the world. She is a pioneer in the harp therapy field and has played the harp at the bedside of hundreds of hospital and hospice patients.
