I was recently on a Zoom call and someone asked the question, “What are the blessings you’ve received from the coronavirus?” Honestly, the question took me aback, because there’s been so much focus on the negative. Even though I don’t feel like I’ve personally lived in the negativity, I wasn’t prepared to list my blessings. After taking some time to reflect, here’s a few things I’m grateful for:
- Playing my pedal harp to “send out” peace and calm energetically every day.
- A deeper connection/relationship with my friends and support system.
- Easing up on Mother Earth (reduced pollution, cleaner waters, less frenetic busy-ness, etc.)
- Daily walks in nature and breathing in fresh air. (I’m also so glad the pandemic “hit” in mid-March vs. mid-January in Minnesota!)
- Connecting daily with people I had lost touch with or hadn’t connected with for a long time.
- Meditating daily to help fill “the field” with love and peace.
- Cleaning. Cleaning. Cleaning. My house feels lighter and more organized, and I love this feeling!
- Working with my harp therapy students. As we have connected each week, we spend the first few minutes of each lesson processing our CoVid experiences, as well as mutually supporting each other.
- Working on a couple exciting, new creative projects!
- Time to enhance and deepen my self-care practice.
I could go on … I’m amazed at how long the list already is! What’s on your list of CoVid blessings? As we “hold space” for the struggles and pain of CoVid, we can also be grateful. I invite you to reflect on your CoVid blessings (if you haven’t already done so)…

I recently saw a Facebook post with a photo of “payments” from Spotify. I put quotes around “payments” because the picture was line item after line item of Spotify entries that were either .00 or .01 … yes, that’s NO payment or a penny per entry!! And the comments below this post were unanimous with numerous musicians – “I have the same problem”!!
Wonder why Spotify is involved in two LARGE lawsuits with both famous and independent musicians?!! Doesn’t take a rocket scientist (or a rockstar musician!!) to figure this out, right?!!
So, what can you do to help? Support your favorite musicians by buying their CDs or downloads, and plan to listen for years of enjoyment. I, along with thousands of other musicians, will be very grateful! Thanking you in advance …

All month long we celebrate the holiday of gratitude – Thanksgiving! (The actual date is Nov. 23 this year.) We hope you have time to reflect on all your many blessings that connect you to feeling grateful. We are aware we have so much to be thankful for:
- Our gigs where we’ve had an opportunity to share our harp music, passion and message.
- Our customers who continue to purchase books and CDs, and use our products to support their journey.
- Our addendum BioMat business and all the wonderful people we’ve had an opportunity to connect with and help in their healing journeys.
- Our learning from the first two Virtual Harp Summits.
- Our re-connection this past summer with the harp therapy community (International Harp Therapy Program’s regional conference).
- Our flexible schedule so that I can be present to my aging parents.
- On and on the list goes …
So, you can see, we have much to be in gratitude. How about you?
