I recently had an opportunity to perform in my mom’s hometown … population 1,246! I performed on a Sunday afternoon and 80 people showed up, including several family members. I guess it was big news for a harpist to be in the community!

It was nerve-wracking to speak and play in front of family/people I know. (It is much easier to perform in front of total strangers.) Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time together … both family and the members from the community told me they enjoyed the afternoon. Whew! It is delightful to bring peace and calm to small, rural communities.
