More on the BioMat

As the evenings are cooling off (at least in the northlands!), I love to share a product that I rep called the BioMat.

After using it personally for almost eight years, it has made such a difference in my overall health and well-being, as well as many of our happy customers.

Pro BioMat Set with New Controller The BioMat is a Class III FDA-approved medical device (#2954299). It is a powerful healing tool utilizing the triad of1) Far infrared heat – infrared heat penetrates deeper and more evenly than a heating pad.2) Amethyst crystals – amethyst is a detox which helps us to eliminate toxins from our body. It is also used in meditation and is a very spiritual stone.

3) Negative ions – negative ions make us feel good and are found in waterfalls, mountains, oceans and forests – all the places we love to vacation. (On the flip side, positive ions make us feel sluggish and lethargic.)

The BioMat’s health benefits include:

  • Promotes relaxation and sleep
  • Relieves pain and eases joint stiffness
  • Increases blood circulation
  • Improves immune function
  • Removes waste and toxins.

Bio-mats are especially popular and has been proven effective with people who have these issues:

  • Sore muscles, sprains, muscle spasms and soft tissue injuries
  • Lower back pain or injuries
  • Arthritis and muscular-skeletal ailments
  • Fibromyalgia and other auto-immune diseases.

Available in several sizes, click here for more information. Half-price shipping may also be available – e-mail me about this. I look forward to connecting with you about this awesome product!

Well-Being and the Harp – Part IV

Well BeingThe harp is a very spiritual instrument and our work is very spiritual. Spirituality is the fourth area of well-being that we will cover in these blog posts.

We find again and again that a spiritual practice (meditation, prayer, quiet time, centering, etc.) helps to build our resilience, as well as survive/thrive in the world today.

The spiritual/metaphysical connection occurs as the harpist grounds (connecting to the Earth) and taps into the heavens, then the music can flow through our fingers and bodies, and through the instrument. This is the process of channeling – allowing Spirit to flow through us. Our body/mind/spirit pathway is:

  1. Align our physical body
  2. Channel love: universal quality
  3. Bring out the harp’s best harmonics
  4. Create a circle for healing (keep in mind the harpist’s body is round – our elbows up create a circle around the harp, our hand position is round, our fingers curve inward forming another circle, etc. – and all of this helps make the music is round).

This model of spirituality explains the spiritual process of making music:  We connect then flow, co-creating with Spirit and back to connection; it is a circle of spirituality and healing.

And finally, it is important to listen to the energetic, spiritual messages our bodies give us. For instance, do you feel energy in your fingers, heart, shoulders, hips? (It can be anywhere and the point is to be mindful of our own body.)

As we connect to our own spiritual well-being, it deepens our music and the healing that occurs.

The Red String

Red StringBefore each U.S. election, I hold a Peace Meditation in my home for several friends. It is always a special time when we hold a powerful intention for the highest good and best possible outcome for our country. This year was especially important because the election “season” was so contentious.

In preparation, I had to replace a couple strings on my pedal harp before the gathering. One was a very long red string (lower octave).

A couple days after the meditation, I noticed the RED string was broken … again. This never happens and when I told one of the friends who was present at the meditation, she said, “Well, doesn’t that symbolize what just happened in the election?!!”

You draw your own conclusions … !

Peace, Love, Joy Meditation

Peace Love JoyI was recently on a webinar and the speaker talked about sitting for 11 minutes each day in peace, love and joy. Doesn’t this sound like an awesome thing to do?!

This puts us in the energy of these lovely feelings … it doesn’t get any better than peace, love and joy, right?! And, it raises our vibration individually and collectively. I really can’t think of a more important time to do this very simple exercise for only 11 minutes per day.

If you would like to do this Peace, Love, Joy Meditation using a harp solo, non-familiar song, I suggest the “Sincerity” download from the Calm as the Night CD. It is 11 minutes and is only 99¢ to help facilitate a deep connection to peace, love and joy.

Join me in this easy and make-a-difference meditation!

  • Connect with your heart by taking several deep breaths.
  • Smile as you think about everything that is right in your life.
  • Radiate this good energy into the world.

Miracles Mastermind

MiracleOne of my friends asked if I would be interested in being a part of a Miracles Mastermind. She explained it is a group of six people to help each other manifest positives in our lives. I jumped at the chance!

We met to set our intentions for the month. Then, meditate each day for a minute/person in the group (a total of five minutes). I can’t wait to meet with this group in a month and hear about all of our manifestations/progress, including mine! We are piloting it for 90 days with the intention to eventually “ripple out” with each of the original six, selecting six and then those six select six, etc. What a great vision and the exponential compounding for one another has awesome possibilities  :-)

An interesting research study

Research ReportAs I was reading through my Mizzou Alumni magazine, I came across an article that was fascinating and decided to share it with you here!

A technique called iRest Yoga Nidra meditation has been found to be effective in treating PTSD among military veterans. A social work major thought perhaps it would be helpful with domestic violence victims, so she is doing research.

iRest stands for Integrative Restoration and it is instructor-led meditation into deep relaxation, guiding participants through their inner strengths and desires, intentions, feelings, emotions and beliefs. As I read through the article, I wondered how harp music might be helpful in this process/journey. Might be worth a phone call or e-mail??

It will be interesting to see what she finds out in the research….
