EasterOn Easter, I played the harp for an afternoon Vesper’s service for the community where my parents live. It started at 4:30, so I tuned and set up around 4. Then, as the crowd was gathering, I began playing several songs to warm up. I noticed a woman standing near me. I spoke; she turned away abruptly and marched over to the piano. I played a few more songs and as soon as I stopped, she started loudly playing the piano with something that was exactly the antithesis of the atmosphere I was creating!

Talk about territorial! All musicians have gifts to offer … can’t we get along?! It was quite blatant and next time, I play for their Vesper’s service, I will handle it differently!!
